Privacy Policy
1. Who We Are
“EaseWorks” provides mobile applications such as sobriety support apps and book recommendation apps (collectively, the “Apps”). This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and share information when you use our Apps and this support site.
2. Information We Collect
Depending on how you use the Apps, we may collect the following types of information:
- Account and Contact Information
If you choose to contact us (for example, through an in-app contact form or email), we may collect your name, email address, and the content of your message. - Usage Information
We may collect information about how you use the Apps, such as features you use, in-app settings, and the time and duration of your use. This information is generally collected in an aggregated or de-identified form. - Device Information
We may collect basic device information such as device model, operating system version, language and region settings, and anonymized identifiers that help us improve stability and performance. - Health and Well-Being Related Information
For our sobriety-related Apps, you may optionally enter information related to your habits or goals (e.g., days without drinking, notes, or reflections). This information is stored solely on your device and/or our secure servers to provide the features of the Apps. It is never used for advertising, and is never shared with any third party, including analytics or crash reporting providers.
3. How We Use Your Information
We use the information we collect for the following purposes:
- To operate, maintain, and improve the Apps and this support site.
- To provide customer support and respond to your inquiries.
- To understand usage trends and improve user experience.
- To protect the security and integrity of the Apps, including detecting and preventing abuse.
- To comply with legal obligations and enforce our terms and policies.
4. Sharing of Information
We do not sell your personal information. Health and well-being data (see Section 2) is never shared with any third party under any circumstances. Other information may be shared only in the following limited situations:
- Service Providers
who process information on our behalf — such as cloud hosting providers (e.g., Apple CloudKit, AWS), app analytics services, or crash reporting tools (e.g., Firebase Crashlytics) — and are bound by contractual confidentiality obligations. These providers may receive device and usage information only, and never health-related data. - Legal Requirements
when we believe disclosure is reasonably necessary to comply with applicable law, regulation, legal process, or governmental request. - Business Transfers
in connection with a merger, sale of assets, financing, or acquisition of all or a portion of our business, where permitted by law.
5. Data Retention
We retain information only for as long as necessary to provide the Apps and this support site, to comply with our legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our agreements. If you stop using the Apps, we may retain certain de-identified or aggregated information for analytics and reporting.
6. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have certain rights regarding your personal information, including the right to access, correct, or delete data we hold about you.
California Residents (CCPA/CPRA): You have the right to know what personal information we collect, to request deletion of your personal information, and to opt out of the sale of personal information (we do not sell personal information). To submit a request, please contact us at support@ease-works.net. We will respond within 45 days as required by law.
EEA / UK Residents (GDPR/UK GDPR): You have the right to access, rectify, erase, or port your personal data, to restrict or object to processing, and to lodge a complaint with your local data protection authority. To submit a request, please contact us at support@ease-works.net. We will respond within 30 days.
Deleting Your Data: You may request deletion of all personal data associated with your account by emailing support@ease-works.net with the subject line "Data Deletion Request." We will process your request within 30 days and confirm once complete. We may need to verify your identity before fulfilling your request.
7. Children’s Privacy
Our Apps are not intended for children under 13 years of age, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If we learn that we have collected personal information from a child under 13, we will take steps to delete such information as soon as reasonably possible.
8. International Data Transfers
Our Apps are available globally. If you access the Apps from outside the United States, your information may be transferred to and processed in the United States or other countries where our service providers operate. These countries may have data protection laws that differ from those in your country.
Where required by applicable law (for example, for transfers from the European Economic Area or the United Kingdom), we rely on appropriate safeguards — such as Standard Contractual Clauses approved by the European Commission — to protect your information during any such transfer.
9. Security
We take reasonable and appropriate measures to protect your information from unauthorized access, use, or disclosure. However, no method of transmission over the Internet or method of electronic storage is 100% secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.
10. Changes to This Privacy Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the “Last updated” date at the top of this page. Your continued use of the Apps after any changes become effective signifies your acceptance of the revised policy.
11. Contact Us
If you have any questions or concerns about this Privacy Policy or our data practices, please contact us at support@ease-works.net or through the in-app contact form. We aim to respond to all inquiries within 5 business days.
